Ko Yamori has insomnia. Exiled from the normal life he lived during the day, he prowls the city at night. While basking in the tranquil glow of neon and the moon, he finds out that he isn't alone, and quickly becomes the prey of the vampire Nazuna Nanakusa. His blood ends up super tasty, and she seems pretty chill, so the two start hanging out. Ko eventually asks how to become a vampire himself, and it comes with a catch: he needs to fall in love with a vampire. Now, this young boy must wrestle with his newfound emotions as he tries to figure out what love even is, and how he can direct it at Nazuna to get those sweet vampire superpowers. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Call of the Night by Kotoyama.
