Lucius Modestus is a disgraced bath engineer who has been blacklisted from all of Rome's architecture firms. While drowning his sorrows in the bath, he accidently drowns himself as well, but rather then finding himself washed along the shores of the river Styx, he arrives in modern day Japan. Unable to speak the language, he learns of their amazing technological advancements in the art of bathing. As he continues to bring these innovations back to his own time, he sails to the top of the roman bathing world. Even the emperor himself takes a liking to him.
